CURIOSITY & AWARENESS

This is the foundation of EVERYTHING in this work. It's through curiosity and awareness that we can learn and change. 

Now. We only know what we know. Hence why curiosity is so important as it helps expand what we are aware of. 

Explore EVERYTHING from this place. Without having to get it right (see Not Mastering below). 

** Warning. Awareness isn't reversible and can sometimes be annoying... 


LESS IS MORE

Seriously. 

To be clear, I don't mean "don't do anything and you're good to go"... I mean that when we learn to work within the edges of our capacity we are more likely to have shifts happen. Because it's in this place that our system feels safer and more available to adapt and change. 

THIS IS NOT ABOUT GETTIN 'ER DONE! This is about finding your pace. One where your whole system participates in the experiences without being in survival mode. 

This means taking breaks when you feel like there's effort. Pause and come back to whatever you're exploring when you feel intrigued again (verses feeling like you have to push through). 

There might be some lessons that you totally resonate with and enjoy. And there might be others where you struggle to stay focused or find yourself getting annoyed. This is your system speaking to you! Pause. Check in. Do less. Go slower. Use it as an opportunity to learn. 

PS. Power of imagination can be SO impactful. We get into this later on in the program :) 


WHAT WAS THAT?

Any response in your body is SOMETHING worth noticing. This is not a place for undermining or underplaying. If you feel something, notice if your pattern is to "brush it under the rug" or see it as "no big deal".

Here's your opportunity to start recognizing that your body speaks and something is something. You just have to choose to listen and be curious. 


WHAT'S THE ANSWER!?

Only YOU know what's right for you. I find it so common that we get caught up in other peoples ideas, labels and beliefs about what's happening for us.

People can share their opinions and provide advice, but it's for YOU to discover ourselves what is true for you. Even if it takes a while. 


THIS IS NOT AN EXERCISE

Exercise is all about listening to an instruction and doing the steps. 

This is nothing like that. You are not here to repeat something over and over. You are are to see every experience as a new one. You are here to explore, to be curious and to learn by embodying, not by remembering or exercising an idea. 

Treat this all as an experiment. 

Which leads me into the next principle... 


BECOME THE MASTER OF NOT MASTERING.

Our society is so caught up in "getting it right". We can so easily hold onto this idea that there IS a right way, and if we do it that way we will be better. 

I am going to encourage you to step out of this. Not easy, I know. Because let's face it, this whole "getting it right" thing is pretty loaded! 

But when it does show up, I encourage you to a) notice (bringing it back to awareness here!) and then b) notice what shows up for you here. What your responses are to having to/wanting to "get it/do it right" - or the whole "I'm doing it wrong/I don't get it/I'm stupid"... Cause that can be there too. 

What might it be like to instead notice "what is". What's available for you. What feels easiest/best/most available/most like you. What else is possible. How can things be different. How is different different. 

Again. TREAT ALL OF THIS LIKE AN EXPERIMENT! And recognize that there is no mastering that will happen here.
